2023.1 Series Release Notes


New Features

  • The new manila::cron::db_purge::ensure parameter has been added, so that status of the cron job can be customized.

  • The new manila::executor_thread_pool_size parameter has been added.

  • The manila::backend::ganesha defined resource type now supports Ubuntu and Debian.

  • The new manila::data class has been added. This class configures the manila-data service.

  • The new manila::policy::policy_default_rule parameter has been added.

  • This module now supports Ubuntu 22.04 (Jammy Jellyfish).

Upgrade Notes

  • The deprecated manila::service_instance defined resource type has been removed. Use the manila::backend::service_instance defined resource type instead.

  • The manila::share::hitachi_hnas::share_backend_name parameter has been removed.

  • The following defined resource types have been removed.

    • manila::type

    • manila::type_set

  • Dell EMC VMAX share driver is no longer supported.

  • The manila::backend::netapp::netapp_root_volume_name parameter and the manila::share::netapp::netapp_root_volume_name parameter have been removed.

  • This module no longer supports Ubuntu 20.04 (Focal Fossa).

Deprecation Notes

  • Using a false value for manila::scheduler::scheduler_driver has been deprecated and the specified value will be directly rendered into manila.conf in a future release. Use $::os_service_default if the service default should be used.
