New Features

• Added support for managing options in the new [backend_defaults] section.

• The following parameters have been added to the glance::key_manager::barbican class.

  • insecure

  • cafile

  • certfile

  • keyfile

  • timeout

• The new glance::key_manager::barbican::service_user::timeout parameter has been added.

• The glance::notify::rabbitmq class now has two new parameters rabbit_use_queue_manager and rabbit_stream_fanout.

• The glance::keystone::auth class now adds the service role by default. Set the roles parameter not to add the role.

• The glance::backend::swift class and the glance::backend::multistore::swift defined resource type now support the following two new parameters.

  • swift_store_auth_project_domain_name

  • swift_store_auth_user_domain_name

Upgrade Notes

• Puppet 7 is no longer supported. Use Puppet 8 instead.

• The glance::notify::rabbitmq::rabbit_heartbeat_in_pthread parameter has been removed.

• The glance::backend::multistore::swift::swift_store_config_file parameter has been removed.

• The glance::api::logging::watch_log_file parameter and the glance::cache::logging::watch_log_file parameter have been removed.

Deprecation Notes

• The glance::backend::multistore::file::filesystem_store_datadirs parameter has been deprecated, and will be removed in a future release.

• The glance::backend::swift::swift_store_auth_version parameter and the glance::backend::multistore::swift::swift_store_auth_version parameter have been deprecated and will be removed in a future release.

• The following parameters of the glance::backend::swift class and the glance::backend::multistore::swift defined resource type have been deprecated, in favor of the new project_name parameters.
